Manish Kaushik advances to second round with dominating win Boxing Championship

World Boxing Championship 2019 will kick off on 8th September 2019 and end on 21 September 2019. It will be held on Russia.

In the tournament , Manish Kaushik, the 2018 commonwelth games silver medalist barely broke a sweat as he outpunched Kyrgyzstan’s Uulu Argen Kadyrbek to enter the second round in the 63kg category at the world boxing championship live in Russia on Thursday.

It also helped that his rival was neither quick and nor had the ferocity in punches to cause any concern for the Indian, who got the unanimous nod of the judges.

Kaushik will next face the Netherlands Enrico Lacruz. On Tuesday Brijesh Yadav won his opening bout to enter the round of 32.

Earlier, Asian Champion Amit Panghal and Asian silver winning duo of Kavinder Singh Bisht and Ashish Kumar got first round byes.

The IOC took control of the Olympics qualification process, which will now start next year with the Asia qualifiers in February.
